Appointment Service
The Access Appointment Service at our clinic, the Primary Care Centre, offers appointments for:
- Our members’ patients who need medical care within 24 hours but are unable to see their doctor
- People without a family doctor who live within our PCN’s region
Available 365 days a year by referral and appointment only, its hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
If your doctor is a member of our PCN and unable to see you, they can refer you to the Access Appointment Service.
If your doctor’s practice is closed or you don’t have a doctor, you can call Health Link at 811, and if appropriate, they will refer you to the Access Appointment Service.
The Access Appointment Service provides an alternative to walk-in clinics and ERs (for appointments that are not emergencies). Unlike an ER or a walk-in clinic, the Primary Care Centre sends the information from your visit back to your doctor to keep them informed of your care.
